El Dr. Profesor Dafni es investigador en el "Laboratorio de Ecología y Polinización, Instituto de Evolución",
En la Universidad Hebrea de Jerusalén obtuvo en 1967 su B.Sc. en Biología, en 1969 el Certificado de Profesor, en 1970 su M.Sc. en Botánica, y de 1971 a 1975 realiza estudios de doctorado, defendiendo la tesis : "Comparative Biology of Prosopis farcta populations from different habitats in Israel", con las supervisiones de los Profs. C.C. Heyn y M. Negbi.
