La apolipoproteína A2, también llamada ApoA2 o Apo A-II,[1] es la segunda proteína más abundante de las lipoproteínas de alta densidad (HDL), está codificada por el gen APOA2.[2][3]. Se detecta en el plasma como monómero o homodímero, también formando un heterodímero con la apolipoproteína D. En la especie humana el gen que codifica la apolipoproteína A2 se localiza en el brazo largo del cromosoma 1 ( región g21). Tiene una función estructural en algunas fracciones de las lipoproteínas de alta densidad.
