San Juan Cotzal draws a triangle with Nebaj and Chajul. We had to travel for 6 hours to cover less than 100 miles to come here. We had to go on the back of a truck, with other peasants and cargo. Before that, we took 2 school buses, where we get lots of pleas, as usual. We got experts in eliminating them.
After that long trip, we were exhausted (actually, i had to get some surgery due to back problems related to that trip, months later), but the place really seemed the end of the world we were looking for. Nothing from the outer world was affecting the life of that village. I never felt the same again. The magic of being in another dimension. Awesome...
