English: View of the moon over Karakoram Range in Pakistan. Peaks in the background (horizon), from left to right: Haramosh (left quarter), four peaks in the centre: Malubiting, then a high and long saddle apparently leading to (but in fact there's no connection) the highest peak - Rakaposhi, then Diran and Spantik. On the very right there are the peaks of the Hispar Muztagh, Kunyang Chhish is probably second from the right. Below them there is the Latok-group. Picture taken from about the end of the Baltoro glacier, looking west.
Deutsch: Der Mond über dem Karakorum in Pakistan. Die Berge im Hintergrund (Horizontlinie) sind von links nach rechts: Haramosh (linkes Viertel); die vier Gipfel in der Bildmitte sind Malubiting, dann ein langer, hoher Sattel, der scheinbar (aber tatsächlich nicht) zum höchsten Gipfel, dem Rakaposhi, führt, daneben Diran und Spantik. Ganz rechts die Berge des Hispar Muztagh, darunter die Latok-Gruppe. Aufnahmeort in der Luft etwa über dem Ende des Baltorogletscher, der Blick geht richtung Westen |
