I remember being 8 years old and my grandparents taking me to that location approx 1-2 weeks after the crash. Now 41, thoses images still stand in my head as if it were yesterday. The sight of those trees sheared off just above the ground was amazing. And probably the most memorable was finding a quarter on the ground. I made a big deal about it because all I thought about was buying some penny bubble gum with it. My grandmother made me put it back on the ground and reminded me that quarter came from someone that died there. this picture of the rocks doesn't show the red paint from the nose of the TWA jet. Still gives me chills 33 years later!!!!
