Alemania ha adoptado dos variaciones de la USP para sus fuerzas armadas (Bundeswehr). Una de ellas es la P8, una USP de rasgos específicos que sólo tiene diferencias menores con respecto al modelo USP estándar, como son la palanca del seguro invertida con las letras 'S' y 'F' impresas en el armazón en lugar de en la propia palanca (en la P8, abajo indica 'Seguro', y arriba indica 'Fuego' — lo contrario que la USP estándar) y cargadores de plástico translúcido. La otra es la P10, adoptada por muchas fuerzas de Policía Estatal de Alemania, es una USP Compact con la adición de un martillo estimulado. Tanto la P8 como la P10 están diseñadas sólamente para el cartucho 9 x 19 mm. La USP también es usada par los ejércitos de Irlanda y Estonia, además de un gran número de unidades especiales y fuerzas policiales a lo largo de todo el mundo.
