The Walt Disney Company Iberia es la filial para España y Portugal de The Walt Disney Company. Esta filial encarga de la comercialización en ambos paises de las películas, en todos los soportes, videojuegos, parques y resorts, canales de televisión, y otros productos de Walt Disney. Fue fundada en 1999.

Actualmente, The Walt Disney Company Iberia, en el sector audiovisual, dispone de 4 canales en España y 2 en Portugal, además de ser dueña del 20% de Sociedad Gestora de Televisión Net TV, una de las seis concesiones de la televisión terrestre española.

Canales de televisión

España

  • Disney Channel: Es el canal principal del grupo. Comenzó sus emisiones el 1998, y desde julio de 2008, emite en abierto a través de la TDT en España, siendo el único canal con la denominación Disney Channel, que emite en abierto en el mundo. Además del canal principal, cuenta con un multiplexado, llamado Disney Channel +1, para las operadoras de pago.
  • Disney XD: Es un canal dedicado a los niños de entre 4 y 18 años. Comenzó sus emisiones el 18 de septiembre de 2009. Emite series como Pokémon, La Banda del Patio o Digimon. Sustituyó a Jetix. Dispone de un multiplexado llamado Disney XD +1.
  • Disney Cinemagic: Es un canal dedicado al cine Disney, pero también a series de animación, surgidas la mayoría de películas Disney. Comenzó sus emisiones el 1 de junio de 2008, en sustitución de Toon Disney. Dispone de un multiplexado llamado Disney Cinemagic +1.
  • Playhouse Disney: Es un canal dedicado a los niños en edad preescolar.

Portugal

  • Disney Channel: Es el canal principal del grupo. Emite las series y programas de animación del grupo.
  • Disney Cinemagic: Es un canal dedicado al cine Disney, pero también a series de animación, surgidas la mayoría de películas Disney. Dispone de una versión en alta definición llamada Disney Cinemagic HD.
