HMS Amphion

HMS Amphion ha sido el nombre utilizado por siete buques de la Royal Navy británica en honor al héroe griego Anfión.
- El primer HMS Amphion fue botado en 1780, y era un navío de línea de quinta clase (fragata según la clasificación española) armado con 32cañones.
- El segundo HMS Amphion fue botado en 1798, y era un navío de línea de quinta clase armado con 32 cañones.
- El tercer HMS Amphion, era una fragata de hélice con casco de madera botada en 1846.
- El cuarto HMS Amphion fue un crucero protegido de clase Leander botado en 1883.
- El quinto HMS Amphion fue un crucero explorador de clase Active botado en 1911, que fue el primer buque de la Royal Navy en ser hundido durante la Primera Guerra Mundial.[1]
- El sexto HMS Amphion fue un crucero ligero de clase Leander botado en 1934, transferido a la Royal Australian Navy y renombrado Perth.
- El séptimo HMS Amphion fue un submarino, líder de su clase botado en 1944. Antes de su botadura, cambió su nombre por el de Anchorite.
