VoIP.ms services have local DID numbers in 60+ countries, toll-free numbers, call termination, audio conferencing and services such as E911, CNAM Lookup, SMS, virtual fax, virtual PRIs, and local number portability. VoIP.ms is also a provider of Voxbone’s iNum initiative. It mostly operates on a Pay-As-You-Go business model.

History

VoIP.ms was founded in 2007 by a group of IT and business professionals who believed there was a better way to bring Internet phone services to companies who, like them, had a desire for high-caliber communications solutions. Their goals weren't overly complicated: they wanted something reliable, flexible and affordable. When they couldn't find all three anywhere else, VoIP.ms was created. ​

Services

The company serves close to 75,000 customers across the world with a suite of voice products for both residential and business purposes. Its local DID numbers are available in over 60 countries namely Canada, United States, United Kingdom, France, and New Zealand. It also offers termination (outgoing calls) in over 125 countries across the world. VoIP.ms also offers various related products including toll-free numbers, SIP trunks (Virtual Primary Rate Interface), Virtual Faxes, Audio Conferencing and advanced features including Digital Receptionist (IVR), Calling Queues, SMS, Ring Groups and Call Hunting.​ VoIP.ms allows businesses from any size a reselling program through a 100% white-label platform. It also has a SOAP and REST/JSON API which allows to only integrate VoIP.ms in the back-end of a website, intranet, extranet or customer portal. .

Technology

VoIP.ms has over 100 points of presence across the world namely United States, Canada, Netherlands, Australia and France. The company supports the following codecs including G.711u (μ-law / pcmu) (native), G.729a (native) and gsm (transcoded). It also supports SIP and IAX2 protocols and has two authentication methods: SIP/IAX Dynamic Registration and SIP Static IP authentication. VoIP.ms has a Bring Your Own Device policy where it allows the customers to either keep his current phone environment or migrate to any other that suits his needs. It supports a wide range of softphones, devices and PBXs namely Asterisk, Avaya, Cisco, Grandstream, OBi, Polycom, Siemens, Snom, and Yealink.​ ​ ​ ​ ​

The company also has specific partnerships with the aforementioned companies to facilitate the integration and overall interoperability.​
