Belarc develops and licenses Internet based products which help make personal computers easier to use and maintain by large enterprises, small businesses and individual consumers. Belarc's products are used for Software Asset Management, hardware upgrade planning, cyber security status, information assurance audits, IT asset management, configuration management, and more. Belarc's products are in use on well over twenty million computers and are licensed by numerous customers including: AIG, Dana, Kindred Healthcare, NASA, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Census Bureau, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy, Unilever, WebMD/Emdeon.

Belarc Advisor[editar]

Belarc also offers the Belarc Advisor as a free download for personal use. The Belarc Advisor builds a detailed profile of installed software and hardware, missing Microsoft hotfixes, anti-virus status, CIS (Center for Internet Security)[1]​ and FDCC (Federal Desktop Core Configuration)[2]​ benchmarks, and displays the results in a Web browser. All of the profile information is kept private on your PC and is not sent to any web server. History[editar]

Belarc was founded in 1996 by Gary Newman and Sumin Tchen. Dr. Jack Goldman[3]​, creator and visionary behind Xerox’s Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), was an early director of the company. Belarc is owned by its founders and employees.
