Juan Ignacio Delgado Alemany, also known as Ignatius Farray was born in Granadilla de Abona, Tenerife, 1973, is an Spanish comedian.
Biography
[editar]His artistic name comes from Ignatius, a name which was used by a fictional music teacher in the book, "A Confederacy of Dunces" and Farray, the second name of his father.
Farray studied sciences of information in Madrid.
After a couple years in London where he knew the "Comedy Club" he returned to Tenerife, his birthplace, where he began to take his first steps into the discipline of stand up comedy. His influences in stand up comedy where taken from the humor of Faemino y Cansado and plenty of American comedians like Richard Prior, Steve Martin, Andy Kaufman and Lenny Bruce.
He has appeared in the "New Comdians" programme on Paramount Comedy Channel since 2003, in 2004 he did a cameo in the popular Spanish series "Cuentame Como Paso" where he acted as himself insulting the carácter Miguel Alcantara, he was also partner in "Noche Sin Tregua", in the late night of this same cannel that was hosted by Dani Mateo. He is well known for participating in the humoristic magazine "Muchachada Nui" of cannel 2 acting as a caharacter that he later on would also represent at "La Hora Chanante".After that he has been working in Museo Coconut and he co-hosted the succesful programme "Concurso Involucion"
In 2012, Farray realesed his humoristic spectacle "El Fin De la Comedia", lately in 2014 he made a sitcom that went out in Paramount Channel.
In 2015, he has been a scriptwriter in the film "Mi Gran Noche" which was directed by Alex de La Iglesia.
