Recent changes
- Mobile IP editors are now able to receive warning notices indicating they have a talk page message on the mobile website (similar to the orange banners available on desktop). These notices will be displayed on every page outside of the main namespace and every time the user attempts to edit. The notice on desktop now has a slightly different colour. [2][3]
Changes later this week
- Wikidata will be read-only for a few minutes on 11 November. This will happen around 06:00 UTC. This is for database maintenance. [4]
- There is no new MediaWiki version this week.
Future changes
- In the future, unregistered editors will be given an identity that is not their IP address. This is for legal reasons. A new user right will let editors who need to know the IPs of unregistered accounts to fight vandalism, spam, and harassment, see the IP. You can read the suggestions for how that identity could work and discuss on the talk page.

Dímini y petición de opinión
[editar]Hola, Sabbut: he consultado fuentes bibliográficas que tengo por casa y en algunas aparece con tilde tal como está ahora titulado, y en otras sin tilde. Como curiosidad, en el libro La civilización micénica de Juan Piquero Rodríguez, que es de 2020, aparece en la misma página (nº 50) dos veces, y en una sale con tilde y, en la otra, sin ella. Por mí, no hay problema en cambiarlo a la forma sin tilde.
Por otra parte, aprovecho para comentarte que si puedes leer el reciente intercambio de impresiones que he tenido con Tokvo sobre el tema de las transcripciones/transliteraciones de nombres propios del griego moderno en nuestras respectivas páginas de discusión, me gustaría saber tu opinión al respecto. - Gracias por la respuesta. Sobre Dímini/Dimini, sí hay fuentes fiables anteriores a 2009 que usan la forma con tilde (ejemplo:[5].)
- Con respecto al tema, en general, de las transcripciones/transliteraciones, que es bastante complejo, o así me lo parece a mí, quería matizar un par de cosas: lo que yo defiendo es que en el caso de que la convención que tenemos actualmente (Wikipedia:Transliteración y transcripción) prohíba todo lo que no sea el sistema ELOT (yo no lo veo así, pero al parecer Tokvo parece que sí), habría que añadir algo que permitiera cierta flexibilización, porque yo al menos en las fuentes que manejo no veo ese consenso en adoptar un único sistema (el mismo ejemplo de Thanou o Thanu que citas es una muestra del empleo de dos procedimientos o recomendaciones distintas). En general, yo soy partidario, como le expliqué a Tokvo, de poder aplicar una transcripción basada en fuentes alternativas a ELOT —lo que no significa, aclaro, que quiera prohibir el empleo de la ELOT. Y en el tema concreto de las tildes, estoy de acuerdo con lo de aplicar las reglas de acentuación del español a los nombres propios que traigamos del griego, pero lo que pone ahora mismo en la convención es:
Tanto la tilde aguda como la diéresis se mantienen tal cual en el proceso de romanización recomendado por las Naciones Unidas, por lo que deben escribirse al transliterar griego moderno, incluso aunque por las reglas de acentuación del español no fueran necesarias.
