Overkill es una banda estadounidense de thrash metal formada en 1980 en la ciudad de Nueva Jersey. Es considerada una de las pioneras de este estilo, además de ser una de las agrupaciones enmarcada en el thrash metal que más álbumes ha publicado a nivel mundial. A lo largo de su carrera la banda ha experimentado constantes cambios en su alineación, siendo el cantante Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth y el bajista D.D. Verni los únicos miembros de la formación original que aún continúan en la agrupación.[1] A menudo se les menciona como los "Motörhead del thrash metal".[2] Su discografía se compone de 19 álbumes de estudio, 3 álbumes en vivo y 5 álbumes recopilatorios.
