Egas Cueman = Egidius Coelman ?[editar]

The interpretation of his name as Van Eyck or Koeman seem nonsense to me.

He reminds me of Egidius (or Giel or Gielis) Coelman who worked at the Sint-Jans Cathedral in 's-Hertogenbosch. In 1437/38 they called him 'stone mason'. In 1447/49 'master of the stonework'. Then there was no trace of him for a long period. On 16 march 1471 he was mentioned in 's-Hertogenbosch in a sales deed of a house as "magister Egidius Coelman lapicida".

Perhaps Egas Cueman and Egidius Coelman are one and the same person.
