I have recently become very interested in the topic of Geisha, and based on my research, there is certainly one individual, or a group, who are seeking to cause material damage to Fiona Graham (Sayuki) and her interests. The subject of whether or not to include Graham's date of birth, in spit of her expressed wishes that this information not be included on any page, in any language, on many pages, it continues to be listed. This is of course, a direct breach of Wikipedia guidelines, which clearly state that

Many people have chosen to raise the issue about whether Geisha traditions alone are enough to warrant about keeping dates of birth secret. I believe this issue is ultimately rather inconsequential, and seems to miss the point completely.

It might be wise for those people to consider the reason for this tradition. It is obviously because revealing the date of birth of a geisha directly impacts upon their ability to attain and keep employment in their field. If Sayuki (Fiona Graham) has an expressed desire to keep her date of birth secret, then you should respect those wishes, because she is obviously the only person in a position to determine whether or not actions taken to make that information public will be damaging to her material interests.

No sufficient evidence has ben presented, on any language page for this article, that revealing the date of birth of this individual, in spite of her expressed wishes that it is, has any bearing upon the "public interest". Even if there were any argument for inclusion of her date of birth for the benefit of the public interest, which there is not, any claim to do so presupposes an ability to judge whether the inclusion of the date of birth does not cause the individual any "unacceptable hardship".

It is quite clear that the decision made to leave this date in has the potential to damage the material interests of this individual. It seems rather self-evident.--Rhubarb86 (discusión) 04:02 20 mar 2020 (UTC)
