Morganatic Marriage[editar]
I do not speak Spanish, so I am unable to change this article, but I did remove the factual errors.
- Waterloo is not part of Brussels, it would be like saying Toledo is part of Madrid.
- Belgium has no morganatic marriage, her using the title princess of Rethy is like Camilla using the title Duchess of Cornwall. Astrid was the queen, even after her dead, just like Diane is still princess of wales in the minds of the people.
- There was a private ceremony on 11 september 1941, that could be compared to morganatic marriage, but in fact it is much less, as the ceremony had no validity at all, this fake marriage did not make her the wife of the king, their children would be illegitimate.
- However, on 6 December 1941 they were married for real, in a civil wedding, which de jure made her the queen consort, despite her not using the title.
- Cardinal Van Roey had no jurisdiction to state that children born out of this marriage would not be in line to the throne, as this contradicts the constitution, the only document that decides who is in line to the throne
- Because her son did not ask for permission from the king to marry Lea Wolman in 1991, he lost his place in the line of succesion. (even though the Royal House never really considered him to be in line to the throne).
