Publicó 14 artículos de gran impacto y uno de ellos en 2009 fue portada de la revista Journal of Controlled Release: (en inglés) “Xenogeneic transplantation of erythropoietin-secreting cells immobilized in microcapsules using transient immunosuppression”. Falleció por cáncer.
