Kang Sung-yeon ( 21 de julio de 1976) es una actriz surcoreana. Kang hizo su debut como actriz en 1996 a través de la Contratación Abierta de MBC.[1]​ A pesar de que su profesión principal era la actuación, ella también contribuyó en varias bandas sonoras de dramas y lanzó dos álbumes en el período 2001-2002, bajo el nombre artístico de Bobo.[2]​ Posteriormente en 2005, Kang saltó a la fama cuando interpretó a la concubina del Príncipe Yeonsan Jang Nok-do en el Rey y el Payaso, una película de época que consiguió vender 12.3 de entradas al cine, lo que (en el momento) fue la mayor recaudación de una película nacional en Corea.[3]​[4]​ Kang siguieron protagonizando dramas de televisión, tales como Let's Get Married (2005), New Wise Mother, Good Wife (2007), Single Dad in Love (2008), Tazza (2008), y Wife Returns(2009).[5]​[6]​[7]​[8]​[9]​A partir de 2012 y hasta 2014, ella organizó su propio programa lectura de poesía en EBS Radio.[10]​

Vida personal[editar]

Kang se casó con el pianista de jazz Kim Ka-in el 6 de enero de 2012.[11]​ La pareja tien un hijo.[12]​
