His name along with Alfonso Senior Quevedo, is associated with the El Dorado era of Colombian professional football for having brought argentine players of great renown to the country.[1][2][3][4]

He led the delegation of Millonarios on its first tour, called the Blue Ballet Tour, during 1952 to other countries of South America: Brasil, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile; where they played a series of matches, with great success that later led him as a special guest to the founding golden jubilee of Real Madrid whom Millonarios defeated at the time at the Bernabeu 4 to 2, having been considered then as the best team in the world.[5][6]
