Tree of life Project is an instrumental progressive metal effort lead by guitarist and composer Carlos Hernandez. Awakening Call is the name of the first studio album set to be released in 2017.

History[editar]

Tree of life Project is the product of collaboration between Carlos Hernandez with other talented musicians that began in Venezuela back in 2015. Fueled by a desire to breathe new life into the modern progressive genre, this musical project blends a wide spectrum of compositional influences, ranging from progressive metal all the way to hard rock and classical. The result is a wonderfully instrumental extravaganza that makes Tree of Life Project a truly distinctive up-and-coming prog act.

Awakening Call was largely self-produced and written between October 2015 and September 2016. What began as jam/recording sessions simply for fun eventually turned into a full-fledged musical endeavor. Hernandez first started working on the album during 2015 in collaboration with bassist Fernando Fossi. A year after, all the album was already written along with basic guitar and bass tracks.

To complete the line up Hernandez collaborates with multi-instrumentalist Eric Gillette who plays drums and keyboards on the album. All guitar and bass tracking was done at Hernandez’s home studio in Lecherias – Venezuela. The album was mixed and mastered by Eric Gillette.
