Gun Control is a hard and classic rock band that was formed in Florence, Kentucky in March 2006. The current lineup consists of Devin Helton, Julio Perez, Mat Behne, and Jonathan Chesser

The Beginning[editar]

Lead guitarist Devin Helton and drummer Jonathan Chesser first started playing music out of boredom but it son became a habit. They then realized they needed some new members. After a long put off from making the band a reality, the two finally got back on it in August of that year. The fist name was Pointed Caliber, based from the point of a knife and the caliber of a gun. The next step was finding a bass player. They automatically asked Pat Hafenbridle who was only playing for a couple weeks but was still good. Soon after he was in, Pat switched to rhythm guitar, letting the band accept Julio Perez as the new bassist. But the name was not going well with fans and when coming up with new possibilities, Devin said the name Gun Control, wich stuck.

Conflicts[editar]

Problems aroused with Pat within the group; with different arguments he was kicked out and Matt Behne was put in for the replacement. After a month of reconciliation, Patrick was put back in and Matt was placed onto backup guitar. But there was another problem. Pat wanted to take on a heavy and death metal approach, not going well with members; especially Chesser. The band was immediatley stopped so things could settle down. Soon it was brought back, only without Patrick.

Future Plans[editar]

The band has not announced what will happen in the future; Chesser has so far written five songs, and is working with one along with Helton. Helton has apparently started one; there is no word with future recordings or what will happpen.
